课程名称：《大学英语1》

活动背景

孔子，中国古代著名的思想家、教育家，儒家学派创始人，被后人尊为孔圣人，位于“世界十大文化名人”之首。孔子是我国教育和哲学领域的泰斗。

作为一名外语教师，在党的二十大召开之际，回顾五千年的文化和历史，以此迎接二十大的召开，振国威、扬国魂、增士气、鼓干劲。

活动设计

课前师生共同观看短视频《孔子》，学习关于孔子的相关知识，学习孔子的经典名句。

比如：性相近也，习相远也。Basically, all the nature are same. But it depends on how the way you do it./Similar in nature, different in practice.

己所不欲，勿施于人。Don't do to others what you don’t want them to do to you.

言必信，行必果。Words must be followed by deeds.三军可夺帅也，匹夫不可夺志也。

The commander of the army may be carried off, but the will of even a common man cannot be taken from him.

非礼勿视，非礼勿听，非礼勿言，非礼勿动。

Do not look at what is contrary to propriety; do not listen to what is contrary to propriety; do not speak what is contrary to propriety; do not do what is contrary to propriety.

人无远虑，必有近忧。He who does not think of the future is certain to have immediate worries.
